Good morning! Today I have my Pink Wednesday mani for your viewing pleasure. Lately I haven't done anything "extra" to spice up my nails so I whipped out my 2-way nail art polishes and decided to get dotty all over Revlon's 'Tulip'. This polish was released in the Spring 2011 three pack's. I reviewed the blue (Waterfall), glitter (Sparkle) and green (Garden) 3-pack here, here and here.
Please excuse not only the copious amounts of saturation (this colour was difficult
to photograph) but the band-aid and the white smudge on my index.
This picture is the most colour accurate and was taken after 2 full days of wear.
I really liked having the dots predominantly in one corner of my nail. I thought of it as a cousin of the funky french manicure. ;)
If you follow Pink Wednesday what shade of pink did you wear today?
I love it, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt still looks great after 2 days of wear.
Wow, after 2 days your manicure looks great. Mine usually get's all chipped up. The color is so bright & poppy - I'll have to try it!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty!
ReplyDeletei LOVE this! i'm a huge fan of pink anyway.. but those dots make it pop... Hopefully someday I can get good with the whole "nail art" thing, and join in on the dots sometime :) Hopefully soon I'll be able to keep up with Pink Wednesdays :)
ReplyDeleteFor 2 days of wear your manicure still looks great.. do you use a certain base coat?
Very cute! And looks great for 2 days, mine is always chipped by then, lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies!
ReplyDeleteDesiree - I actually didn't use a base coat for this mani. I haven't been using one because I've found that my polish has been peeling and it seems to be happening whenever I use a base coat. Most people recommend using one because they can help minimize yellowing of the nail, add strength, moisture, etc but I'd prefer my mani to last. ;)
Ouchie! :( At least your mani looks fabulous. I've been loving dots lately. They're easy to do but still fun.
ReplyDeleteThe dots are super cute!
ReplyDeleteVery simple and adorable !
